Dade Behring Fibrintimer A (BFA)

Fully automated coagulation analyzer.

Manufactured by LAbor Fibrintimer of Ahrensburg, Germany

Distributed in America by Dade Behring as the Behring Fibrintimer A (BFA)

The Behring Fibrintimer A is a fully automatic, opto-mechanical coagulation measuring instrument used to perform all plasma coagulation tests for routines such as prothrombin time, partial thromboplastin time, fibrinogin and special test for single factor determination, antithrombin III, protein C and protein S (coagulometric).

The BFA consist of an analyzer, a personal computer and a printer. The computer operates under DOS with a (GUI) Graphic User Interface known as GEM. The computer is interfaced to the analyzer via a specialized serial controller.
