How to trouble shoot.

CoaCalc and printer.

Problem: it will not print results.

Turn off CoaCalc (by unplugging the adapter), printer and Analyzer.

1.      Turn on CoaCalc

2.      Switch the printer on.

3.      Then turn on analyzer.

The analyzer must be turned on last for results to transfer properly.

Does the startup information print when power is first applied?

To test unplug the power module for the CoaCalc for about 10 seconds
then plug it back in. After about 15 seconds it should print
                        CoaCalc Program Version V1.03

If it did not print, is the power led on the printer illuminated?
Test by turning the power switch on the printer off and back on.

If the above test failed to produce results contact us.

Cause
May have been a power failure and the batteries in the printer may not be charged and it will not function properly until they are fully charged.

If someone unplugs the adapter to the printer and does not turn off the switch on the right side of the printer this will also discharge the batteries in the printer.

Check all connections on the rear of the CoaCalc.

There should be a power supply from the wall to the CoaCalc, CARE MUST BE TAKEN TO ENSURE IT IS PLUGGED INTO THE PROPER INPUT BECAUSE THERE ARE TWO RECEPTICALS, ONLY THE INNER ONE IS POWER INPUT. Power for the printer may come from the CoaCalc or another power adapter, either is acceptable.

There should also be a cable connecting the CoaCalc to the printer for data.

There should be a cable connecting the analyzer to the CoaCalc.

Also if there is a possibility someone has tampered with the unit check the row of switches on the rear of the printer and make sure they are in the positions indicated in the picture, all up except # 5 should be down. If these switches are changed the printer (ONLY) will need to be powered off and back on.

Problem: CoaCalc resets itself every few seconds.

This will happen when the printer obtains it's power from the CoaCalc by means of a jumper from the CoaCalc power output to the printer power input and the batteries in the printer have become discharged.

Solution replace the battery pack in the printer and allow it to charge overnight before using it. Contact us at 800-424-0443 for price and service options.
